Lagon Monastery in Tibet

The Kagyu Chortens of Lagon Monastery

This video was taken beside Lagon Monastery in Tibet.

You can see the stupas/chortens there. These are some of the oldest and most unique and important structures connected with the Tibetan Kagyu lineage.

They are said to be around 1,000 years old and are still preserved there today.

According to the tradition and history of Lagon, these were made by the first Lagon, Druthob Nyagnyon, and they are very famous in Tibet.

In Tibetan, they are called Kagyu Rabdun Ki Chorten, meaning the seven main Kagyu chortens or pyramid-like stupas.

The Sacred Places of Lagon
